The Australian Citizen Science Association is a member-based incorporated association that seeks to advance citizen science through the sharing of knowledge, collaboration, capacity building and advocacy.

Developed by the University of Rhode Island’s (URI) Graduate School of Oceanography (GSO) in partnership with Inspire Environmental of Newport, RI, the Discovery of Sound in the Sea website introduces the science and uses of sound in the sea.

The Australian Museum has had a long history in citizen science projects and currently manages, with collaborators, some of Australia’s most well known and best loved citizen science projects.
