Meeting Highlights - February 2026

eDNA testing

• The initial three deep-water tests in the Bay have been completed, and the samples sent for testing. The three locations were: the Nursery, near Bowen Island; the Docks; and a site near the middle of the Bay. The next round of testing will be undertaken in March.

  
  

Tree canopy project

• Baseline analysis has been undertaken on about 20% of the agreed Bay and Basin area. A cleared area has been identified, that appears not to have approval. Authorities will be contacted.

  
  

Water testing

• Approvals have been granted and work is expected to start soon on both the Vincentia Homeco and Huskisson Murdoch Street developments. This confirms the ongoing priority for testing downstream of these sites.
