Meeting Highlights - January 2026

50th meeting

  • We celebrated the 50th meeting of the Bay & Basin Citizen Science with cake.

Tree canopy project

  • Garth gave a presentation on the Wilderness Society’s 'Watch on Nature' web-based platform. BBSC will start using the platform to monitor land clearing and environmental developments in the area. Being satellite-based, with a resolution down to 10m, and regular new images of every part of the area, it is a useful tool and has broader potential uses, such as monitoring recovery of bushfire affected zones.
